The vision of paperless logistics is a modern view of logistics with digitalised processes without the need for printing.
Of course, paperless logistics is not only about reducing paper consumption directly in operations, but also in their supporting processes. In administration, we use applications and programs that allow data to be accessible from any device in combination with appropriate imaging technology. Additional tools for managing administrative and personnel data within logistics and the entire Škoda Auto company are being developed on an ongoing basis.
One of the goals of Green Logistics is paperless logistics by 2025. Among the first steps to motivate employees and teams to reduce paper consumption in offices was the "Print League" competition, which took place in 2020. In this competition, individual departments proposed measures to reduce printing by 20 percent. The result of the competition exceeded expectations, and the Brand Logistics and Plant Logistics managed to reduce printing by an average of 35 percent.
Unfortunately, you cannot simply "stop printing". A number of forms are mandatory for legislative reasons. However, the paperless logistics have managed to save 2.4 million pieces of paper in 2022, saving around 156 mature trees.
We'd like to introduce you to some of the projects that have helped us take this big step.
